Studio Move

I have officially moved into my new studio space at Summer Ave. Art & Clay. While I will be unpacking supplies over the upcoming week I have already been able to start working clay again. The change in atmosphere has given me the opportunity to meet more of the clay artists in the area and get familiar with their work. I have also had a steady stream of visitors coming by to see me and my new work. It was bittersweet saying goodbye to the studio space at the University of Memphis but the physical move has helped make things really feel like turning the page on a new chapter.

With new studio space there is new work, of course. I began sculpting a set of forms that record the complex relationship between humans and the native deer of the South and Midwest.
